sharks are in the second round. it is a very new feeling. in honor of them playing the red wings, i will attempt to incorporate chicken wings in all of my meals during game days. kfc double down, here i come.

wow. i have not seen a blowout like that since… the tom holmoe days. *shudder* just sad sad sad. jeff tedford is an intense dude. i would not want to be at his practice this week. i bet there will be lots of puking. maybe some crying.

verran tucker needs to shut his mouth and concentrate on playing football. a dropped pass in the first quarter for an easy touchdown, and a taunting call that negated a p.i. call in the endzone? those might have definitely swung the momentum of the game and put the bears up ahead. cal is a different team when playing with the lead. le *sigh*

also, if a tight end is going to score a billion touchdowns in the first half, you might want to make some adjustments and maybe put a guy on him. just saying.

49ers
also crushing, but in a totally different way. so close. if were going to claim to be a running team, we have to convert on a 3rd and 2 dont we? first down ices the game. why not a fullback run? works for me in madden all the time.

and to everyone who says, oh we should have never been in that position since we gave up a kick return for a touchdown. um yeah, but we also blocked a field goal and returned it for a touchdown – possibly 10 point swing. two freak plays cancel each other out. in fact, we got the better end of the deal.

im really ready for a bounceback week for both teams.

sorry for the infrequent posts and t shirts. been busy with a few things – helping the lady move to philly, doing the whole long distance thing.

you think i’d be super bummerfied. i mean, i am kind of bummerfied, but not super bummerfied. (lady, if you are reading this, i am super super bummerfied). the reason behind this is two-fold.

1. 1. a fellow golden bear moved in and now we have lots of video game playing time and sportscenter on.
2. 2. cal football season is starting.

its no secret that i am a big california golden bears football fan. i think we can be a special team this year. so special that there are actually new angry ninja cal football t shirts out! i know. im like a phoenix rising from its ashes.

kevin riley, please dont eff this up like oregon state 2007. tedford (and agnry ninja) would be displeased.

coming right around the corner!

my favorite sports season is right around the corner! pac 10 spring games are in full effect (go bears!), the nfl draft was just this past weekend, and niners season tickets were recently upgraded (w00t!).

pretty stoked for the niners in the draft this season. this video pretty much explains itself.

cant wait to start tailgating and doing the michael crabtree dance. love the pinchers.

entertaining sharks game last night.

some of them played like they were drunk. if they keep this up, who knows how long well be able to watch these guys? better pick up your angry ninja sharks shirts now while you still have a reason to!

also, that was a pretty awesome fight. lets hope we see some more of those.

also, hockey is pretty awesome in hd, even if it is on versus. perhaps they should look into making it 3d like monsters vs aliens.

what a disturbing and sad sight.

im sad because growing up and playing sports, there are always the “right” and “wrong” ways to do things. there was a right way to even something as simple as putting on your shoes to play basketball. i remember hearing about how john wooden would make his college recruits put on their socks  and lace up their sneakers the “right” way, smoothing out all of the wrinkles because doing so would prevent blisters. in sports, we are taught good sportsmanship, good, clean play, and respect for your opponent. go out, play hard, and do it right.

where did we go wrong? if we heeded those words as children, what is so different now?

people will take shortcuts and do the wrong thing to make buttloads of money? you dont say! sounds exactly the signs of the times.
