its been a retro-game filled day! you remember the game, the panic and anxiety that came along with it, the rows of space invaders creeping towards your home planet while you desperately tried to shoot them down with your dinky single-shot pea shooter. *shudder* gives me the heeby jeebies just thinking about it.

space invaders was definitely one of the hardest games i played during my childhood. no matter how many of those buggers i killed, when they started moving super fast down the screen, i would inevitably die. quick little monkeys they were.

yes its true, you can change the type to say anything you want. the shirts do look like pixel art. they do look like swarovski rhinestones. i made them to be angry ninja/space invaders, you can make them into a bling bling kanye west flashing lights t shirts.

this post is inspired by this newspaper clip i found yesterday.

i was around 11 or so when mario kart for the snes first came out. it was a great game, with tons of replay value, thanks to the split screen racing and battle modes. i remember clutching that trusty snes controller with sweaty palms, down to my last balloon, terrified that my friends would shoot me with a red shell.

when racing, the worst was when i would be trying to catch up to a racer during the final lap, tailing him and about to pass him to go onto victory lane, where i would stand on the #1 pedestal while confetti, fireworks and champagne rained down upon me like i was t-pain or kanye, only to have him drop a banana.

id run over said banana, spin out of control, spew my hard earned coins everywhere, and be relegated to the #2 spot. shameful. video games bring back great memories huh?

so here is the t shirt design i alluded to yesterday: mario kart banana – dangerous. inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes, even funny newspaper clippings.

the design looks great on both light and dark ts. hope you like.
