great. now its on repeat on my itunes.
oh yeah… and heres an excuse to post a picture of megan fox rubbing her leg/butt.
tags: itunes, linkin park, megan fox, movies, music, revenge of the fallen, transformersyoure going to want to ride the express. trust me. funniest movie ive seen in a while. how can it not be with lines like this:
this is like if that blue oyster sh*t met that african kush I had –and they had a baby. and then meanwhile, that crazy northern light stuff i had and the super red espresso snowflake met and had a baby. and by some miracle, those two babies met, and f*cked–this would the sh*t that they birthed. its almost a shame to smoke it. its like killing a unicorn…with, like, a bomb.
it also has one awesome soundtrack. i could listen to this mia song – paper planes all day. well, at least twice in a row on my iphone

also, time for another music t shirt. headphones are good for music.
tags: bomb, headphones, iphone, mia, movies, music, paper planes, pineapple express, soundtrack, unicornsan diego was quite a trip. short and sweet, but jam packed with awesomeness. the brain is not working too well right now, so im going with a running list:
angry ninja shirts
big ups to everyone packing their angry ninja shirts for this trip. above are some of the shirts spotted during our time there. i even got complimented on some of them while riding the omni (great hotel btw) elevator:
woman: wispering to her friend: those shirts are so funny. teeheehee
woman: excuse me, where did you get those shirts?
me: oh these ol things? i designed them.
woman: oh really?
me: yeah, you can check them out at www.angryninja.com
pretty sweet feeling when complete strangers inadvertently compliment you on your work.
food
id say that 70% to 75% of the trip was spent either, going to a place to eat, eating at said place, and deciding what to eat next. i didnt get to capture all of the food consumption, so here are a few highlights.
whats that i see on the menu? ninja roll? what are you reading right now? angry ninja? so yeah, i ordered it. i mean, how could i not? it was like fate.
here is the roll itself. it was delicious. id order it every time if i could.
and as if regular meals werent enough, we also had desserts. not just any desserts mind you, but extraordinary desserts.
now, the menu might have called the above two cakes “lemon” and “strawberry short,” but i call them diabetes. my heart almost jumped out of my chest.
all in all, id say its pretty realistic that i gained a good 4 pounds in 4 days. might not be a personal record (youd have to have known me during my potato diet phase), but still not too shabby.
rock band
if we spent 70% – 75% of the time eating, we must have spent at least a good 20% of the time playing rock band. its a pretty fun game, and i got to sing a lot.
actually, im not sure if “sing” is the right word. why you ask? well this is one of the sings i “sang”

yes, the lead singer is supposed to be a woman.
ate pinkberry. pretty tasty. not as good as red mango. why? lets count the reasons:
dont get me wrong, its pretty good. ill gladly eat it. its just no red mango. end of story. time to move on.
virgin america flights
this airline is awesome. especially if you hate flying like i do. what makes it so awesome? the entertainment system located on the back of every single headrest. here are a few things that i did on my relatively short flight (sorry for the blurry shots, i was taking these during the “please turn all of your electronic devices off” stage of the flight):
arranged and listened to a personal playlist from their library of music – boom boom boom

video games, tv and music – three of this sites categories, all in one flight. awesome. only way it could have been more perfect is if had an on board t shirt making factory.
friends
so whats the lesson that we can all take away from this? yes, its fun to go places and take trips. its fun to hang out with friends and eat stuff/play video games with them. but its so much more awesomer if you actually go on trips with your friends and people you care about to eat stuff/play video games/hang out.
also, when youre booking flights back, its probably best to book an afternoon flight, especially if you have to be in at work at 7 in the morning the next day.

my favorite character on the show is gob, a dim witted, womanizing, aspiring magician.. ahem illusionist. the theme song to his magic… ahem, illusion show is europe’s final countdown. his shows are always awesome, like in the clip below:
and here is the audio for his soundtrack:

consequently, that clip is now my newest ringtone. if youve never seen arrested development, get your ass over to hulu. they are streaming the entire series , in pretty decent quality too.

flobots are really starting to blow up. people love them. no handlebars (clip above) is getting some more love on the air, they had a nice set at bfd. things are looking on the up and up for the group.
one problem though. flobots t shirts. people are searching for them, looking for more designs. except that there arent that many available. angry ninja feels your pain and has redone the flobots no handlebars t shirt. overall, its got a cleaner, eye-catching design – a surefire conversation starter. just another way to get you noticed by that special gal/guy (who needs pick up lines?) and another way to spread the flobots love.
this upcoming weekend is going to be a busy, and hot it seems. got a bbq, a bon voyage party, and hopefully ill be able to catch a movie, either incredible hulk or get smart. stay up and stay safe people.
side note on the zazzle store. some of you may not know this, but i leave all of my shirts fully customizable on the store. this means that you can take one of my designs, put it on a mens/womens/kids shirt dark or light, and change all of the text. you can even choose the shirt material, 100% cotton, vintage shirt, heavy duty, etc. the shirts that i have predesigned on the webstore are just a simple guide to what the shirts could look like.
tags: bfd, design, fight with tools, flobots, get smart, handlebars, hip hop, incredible hulk, music, pickup lines, store, t shirtwell that was quite a headache. it turns out that i cannot use the word “flobots” on any sort of design. heck, i cant even use it to describe or tag the product. no matter, i am determined to bring you my flobots t shirt! designing music themed t shirts is tricky tricky.
so after getting that settled, i can finally present to you the the new flobots t – no handlebars. you can finally pick it up on the zazzle webstore.

tags: hands held high, linkin park, minutes to midnight, music, music videolately, there has been some great music in commercials. to me, the music seems to be more memorable than the products being sold. thats probably a problem, as companies probably dont want viewers thinking,
damn that song playing right now during this commercial is awesome. i better go on the internet and find out who the artist is so that i can download their music on itunes.

the first clip is called the last thing on your mind by lights. where have you heard this? probably while watching the nba playoffs on tnt/espn. its the soundtrack to the new old navy neon nights campaign. i cant get this song out of my head. their sound reminds me of imogen heap from frou frou. i know, not the manliest sounding song, but its damn catchy. hopefully old navy sells millions of halter tops with this campaign.

the next song has been out a while, from one of my “watch out for” bands: silversun pickups. the song is lazy eye from their last album carnavas. its used in this chevy malibu assembly line commercial. its nice to see that the band is getting national exposure, albeit via a commercial. will it make me go buy a chevy malibu? probably not. will it make you go buy some silversun pickups songs? maybe. you should pick up carnavas. its a solid album.

the last song that has recently caught my attention via commercial is funeral by band of horses. its the soundtrack used in the slightly older ford edge spot. the song has a very haunting moving melody, reminiscent of something that they would use in an episode of the oc, which by the way, had the best soundtrack of any tv show in recent memory. it took me a while to remember what car the commercial was trying to sell. i just had a picture in my head of the girl looking up through the moonroof. again, i probably wont buy a ford focus, i mean ford edge.
moral of the story: i like songs in car commercials, but they dont make me want to buy the cars.

you ever hear a song or artist you havent heard in a while and it feels like youre reconnecting with an old friend? its like you instantly recognize them even though you havent seen or heard from them in years.
i get that way with music. i havent heard joshua radin in a long time. in fact, according to itunes , the last time i listened to one of his songs was 3/4/2005, over three years ago. so you can imagine my pleasant surprise when i heard him and ingrid michaelson (the girl singing in the old navy sweater commercial ) doing a duet the end of greys anatomy – the lady watches it, not me, i swear. ive included a clip of the song , “sky,” above.
anyways, i got to excited to hear from him that i immediately jumped on itunes and downloaded his latest ep. so far, im pretty impressed. i remember first hearing him on a very moving episode of scrubs . mr. radin must have an affinity for tv shows about hospitals and doctors. below is a clip of the song from scrubs – “closer”.

he has a very soothing voice. its very calming during these times of insane heatwaves – it hit over 100 today .
im also kick starting my line of music ts . check them out below. ive included a variety of colors so youll be able to print them on any color shirt.
