September 24th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in gaming

i cant embed the video, and thats a good thing since in doing so, the awesomeness would be gone. just click here and check it out:

now if you could make all youtube videos interact with the rest of the browser contents, that would be awesome.

what would happen if…

you know me. i loved my nes. i loved my snes. but i also loved my psone, ps2 and ps3. i know, nintendo and sony products, coexisting in my house. who would have thunk?

not all game enthusiasts are as open minded as i am. being a fan of video games, one is subject to a lot of fanboys. what is a fanboy you ask?

Fanboy (sometimes spelled fanboi) is a term used to describe an individual who is devoted to a single subject in an emotional or fanatical manner, or to a single point of view within that subject, often to the point where it is considered an obsession.

now i ask, “cant we all just get along?” i mean i enjoy video games as much as the next guy (okay probably a little bit more), but ive been known to play the xbox, the wii, and the ps3. egad! a guy who plays all three consoles?! the world must be ending! i say, who cares what console you are playing on, as long as you are having a fun time?

this next shirt is dedicated to all those gamers who share my mindset - whether you enjoy nintendo, or sony. its a mashup between two flagship characters of these two consoles: mario and solid snake.

before: super mario + solid snake

after: super mario solid snake mashup t shirt

side note on the zazzle store. some of you may not know this, but i leave all of my shirts fully customizable on the store. this means that you can take one of my designs, put it on a mens/womens/kids shirt dark or light, and change all of the text. you can even choose the shirt material, 100% cotton, vintage shirt, heavy duty, etc. the shirts that i have predesigned on the webstore are just a simple guide to what the shirts could look like.

i think you missed the point of the game…

there are just so many things wrong with the above clip.

  • first of all, beer pong gets a t for teen rating? someone at the esrb must have dropped the ball on that one. there are pictures of beer bottles and kegs everywhere in the game.
  • secondly, why is grandpa playing beer pong frat party games? see 0:16
  • thirdly, why are girls always cheating? see 0:25, 0:37

last of all (and most important to some), where is all the beer? isnt the entire point of the game to make the losers get sloshed?

if you get road rage, be like this guy

in todays world of never-ending video games cause violence/do not cause violence debate, its good to see that not all gamers are psychos that lock themselves up in their rooms screaming at and virtually killing random online strangers (disclaimer: i did that last night wile playing the haze demo on ps3). some, like the guy below, have a great sense of humor.

just reading that post give me a great t shirt idea. stay tuned.

wii man – kicks you when youre down

April 22nd, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in design, gaming, news, store

gamers have it rough. there are just so many stigmas associated with them. before i get into any of this, let me preface by stating that in my life, i have had two original nes systems, a game gear, game boy, super nintendo, psone, ps2, and recently become a proud owner of the ps3. along with these consoles, i also have countless game cartridges and discs. oh yeah, i spent a good amount of time playing warcraft and counterstrike back at school too. so yes, i know a little bit about video gaming.

recently, gamers have been labeled child-men, antisocial, violent, sexually depraved etc. on top of that, video games have also been associated with a many number of deaths and the destruction of property.

and through this all, the gamers have endured. they continue to buy video games at a high clip (what recession?), and continue to download tons of content for their games.

good for them.

and then i see this guy .

wt crap?

i mean seriously. there is no way the gaming community is going to be able to shed its nerdcore image with people like “wii man” running around. cmon. wii man? he couldnt have come up with something better?

dont worry though, angry ninja is here to help. i understand that everyone needs a little help getting dressed in the morning after an intense session of cod4 or ssbb. ive been there. now there is a solution.

i present to you: the first design in a video game focused line that i will be creating. nintendo wii: shake me. you can love video games and not look like a total tool. i swear.

shake me!

doing awesome stuff with the nintendo wii

April 14th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in gaming, news

johnny lee has been working on some projects over the last few years that completely blow my mind. i love how he comes up with new and innovative methods of user interaction. its like he looks at a product, thinks, “i can make that way more awesome,” and then goes and does it. definitely “outside the box” thinking. check out the video below and see what i mean. it is only about 6 min long and a bet you too will be amazed.
